Molineaux (William) Mansion is built.

1790

It is located near today’s 23 Beacon Street. Built for the wealthy Irish merchant who took part in the Boston Tea Party, the house is purchased by loyalist C.W. Apthorp, then confiscated after the Revolution by the state. It is then purchased by Daniel Denison Rogers, who builds a new home on the property. The estate is sold in 1833 and the house is torn down soon after.
